Kiwanis Clubs are, in general, Patriotic when Patriotism needs to be shown to the world.

Division 35 is Patriotic, and encourages its Clubs to show their Patriotism, with the leadership of Past Lt. Governor Rona Lunde.

One way is to accumulate "Points" for their Patriotic acts, programs & events.

Please read the attached description of the ways a Club can accumulate their Points & earn a Banner Patch.

GOALS:

  • To encourage more members to assist with voter registration and poll working.

  • To encourage more members to vote.

  • To help members understand the symbolic relevance of our national symbols and heroes.

  • To educate members about historic facts related to American patriotism, freedom and liberty.

  • To encourage members to think about patriotism for five minutes at each meeting.

A LATE ADDITION to Patriotic Acts that earn Points:

If you go to this web site: www.LetsSayThanks.comyou can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!!   This is a great site. Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.   Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?  Whether you are for or against the war, our guys and gals over there need to know we are behind them...

Earn Kiwanis Patriotism points by sending these cards.  You will get 1 point per card, with a maximum of 20 points (that means 20 cards).  In the Patriotism Packet (top of page), add this project to the list of approved projects.
